From June 15 to 18, top-class scientists from all over the world will meet at the Homburg campus for the workshop “Cutting edge concepts in calcium signaling”. Understanding how exactly calcium ion signaling works is the basis for many clinical applications, for example in cardiovascular disease and kidney disease. The workshop is the last major scientific conference of the Collaborative Research Center 894.

Vom 15. bis 18. Juni treffen sich in Homburg hochkarätige Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftler aus aller Welt auf dem Homburger Campus zum Workshop „Cutting edge concepts in calcium signaling“. Das Verständnis darüber, wie genau die Signalverarbeitung mit Calcium-Ionen funktioniert, ist Grundlage für viele klinische Anwendungen, zum Beispiel bei kardiovaskulären Erkrankungen und Nierenleiden. Der Workshop ist die letzte große wissenschaftliche Konferenz des Sonderforschungsbereichs 894.
