In an interdisciplinary research project funded by the DFG in cooperation with the Chair of Mechanical Process Engineering at the RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau, the biomechanical properties of 3D cell constructs (spheroids) made of human cells will be determined in the molecular and cell biological research laboratory of the Department of Trauma, Hand and Reconstructive Surgery. The engineering cooperation partner will perform a discrete element method simulation based on the experimentally obtained data. The simulation will be used to better predict the biomechanical properties of spheroids, which are increasingly being used in areas such as tissue engineering and bioprinting.

Within this project, a position of a Scientific Assistant (m/f/d) at the the Clinic for Trauma, Hand and Reconstructive Surgery at the Campus Homburg is offered at the earliest possible date.
