The Leibniz Institute for New Materials (INM), the Saarland University and the Helmholtz Institute for Pharmaceutical Research Saarland (HIPS) will launch the Leibniz Science Campus “Living Therapeutic Materials” on July 1, 2020. In a competitive process, the Leibniz Association has approved funding of 900,000 euros for joint research into new materials for the personalised administration of biotherapeutic agents on the SaarlandCampus. In addition to the funding by the Leibniz Association, the INM, the HIPS and the Saarland University will contribute a total of around 3 million euros to the project from their own funds. The State Chancellery is also contributing a further 400,000 euros.

Das Leibniz-Institut für Neue Materialien (INM), die Universität des Saarlandes und das Helmholtz-Institut für Pharmazeutische Forschung Saarland (HIPS) werden am 1. Juli 2020 den Leibniz-Wissenschaftscampus „Lebende Therapeutische Materialien“ starten. In einem Wettbewerbs-Verfahren hat die Leibniz-Gemeinschaft eine Förderung in Höhe von 900.000 Euro für die gemeinsame Erforschung neuer Materialien für die personalisierte Verabreichung von Biotherapeutika auf dem SaarlandCampus bewilligt.Neben der Förderung durch die Leibniz-Gemeinschaft leisten das INM, das HIPS sowie die Saar-Uni aus eigenen Mitteln Beiträge in Höhe von insgesamt rd. 3 Mio. Euro für das Projekt. Ferner beteiligt sich die Staatskanzlei mit weiteren 400.000 Euro.
